I feel compelled to point out this Eve Online story, found via Kotaku: A massive war between the two largest alliances in Eve has resulted in the first wartime use of their interplanetary nukes.

Most interestingly, Ascendant Frontier pulled out the big guns in their war against Band of Brothers. In fact, they pulled out the biggest gun, the Doomsday Weapon, which looks like a sort of solar-system sized nuke. But even more hilarious is that apparently, Ascendant Frontier missed, mostly killing a good chunk of their own guys. The thread they link to on the Eve boards is comedy gold, if you can decipher the unique lingo the Eve community uses.
