Sorry I’ve been away. Things have been quite busy in my private life. Of note, the wife and I spent the break househunting, and just before new year’s, we put an offer down on a house. The house is awesome – a new construction home that someone else had built with a ridiculous number of add-ons, but which they then could not afford due to being unable to sell their old home thanks to the housing crunch. To add insult to injury, we hear that they managed to sell their house right after our offer was accepted.

Anyway, our offer was indeed accepted, so we are currently in the process of packing up everything in the house, trying to figure out where all of our shit is going to go, and dumping stuff unceremoniously on Craig’s List. As an example, I am now without a saltwater aquarium for the first time in about 8 years or so. I thought I was going to miss it, but then when trying to clean the filter as a courtesy for my new buyer, I proceeded to screw it up and flood my living room with about 20 gallons of sea water. I no longer am going to miss the tank, although I think the cats have some regret about not successfully getting their paws on the fish when they had a chance.

We think we have things under control again, so hopefully I’ll be posting more in the future. Maybe even about stuff that has something to do with games.
